Supervision

I am a Psychology of Board of Australia Approved Supervisor, holding a clinical endorsement. In addition to EMDR consultation, I can provide EMDR-trained mental health practitioners with clinical supervision, drawing on twenty years clinical experience across community, university, hospital and private practice settings.
In supervision I provide a supportive reflective space for professional development. There is a focus on the therapy and supervision process, reflection on interpersonal and intrapersonal dynamics, exploration of ethical, organisational, cultural, and diversity issues, as well as evaluation of evidence-based assessment and therapeutic options. Supervision commonly involves approaches such as case presentation, reflection on Self-in-process, and techniques such as role play and hypotheticals.
When beginning our work together, we can discuss your supervision needs. Clinical supervision may be planned as regular sessions or booked as needed. It is available for developing and experienced clinicians.
My theoretical orientation in case conceptualisation is towards trauma-focused theories, particularly Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) and frameworks commonly employed alongside EMDR (e.g. attachment and family systems theories, ego state and other parts work theories). I have a strong background in assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, including parent coaching and emotion coaching.
If you are an EMDR-trained mental health practitioner interested in engaging in clinical supervision with me, I would love to hear from you.
